When life hands you lemons.............

Interesting day...... challenging in some ways but thank God I brought my personal Power Plant (Publio... lol!) I'm driving north on I-95 and I hear what sounds to be something disinflating, so we stopped to check the tires.... "All is good!" says Publio. And I continue driving. "Prakitipackiti" goes the RV again, so we stopped to check the undercarriage.... "All is good!" says Publio with a puzzled look in his eyes. And I continue driving. Publio says "Is that the road? Cuz I feel the RV vibrating".... I say "yeah I think so" and BOOM!.... Oh boy!!!! Blown tire and now what????? Call Roadside Assistance. We are two miles from the next exit so Publio decides we are going to get off on the next exit with a shredded inside tire. I wasn't so sure that was a good idea, but I trusted (not without some voiced concerns...hehehe). Ok now we're off the highway and less than a block away was a truck repair center. WOW! In less than 2 hours we were out of there with 4 new tires and a new group of friends.

Soon thereafter we were parked waterfront at the Pelican Roost RV Park inside the Naval Base in Mayport Jacksonville, thanks to our son, David, who is stationed there. What a wonderful place. We met the friendliest and most helpful people here. Art was especially helpful when our A/C wasn't working properly (and still not working properly, but we slept fine with the help of the fan).

At night, David took us to Ace's house for a birthday celebration. We weren't there long because David wanted to take us to Harmonious Monks, which was a lot of fun. You get to stand on your chair and sing-a-long with the band, which happens to also be the servers. Really cool place!!!!

Teddy hung out with us all day, loving it...... the only time he was away from us was while we went to the bar with David. We left him in David's room and he behaved well (nothing torn or shredded :-)

And then bed!!!!!!!!
