Blue Ridge Parkway

Friday, June 25:

On the road again....

We drove the first 30 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plans had changed due to my sprained ankle. I couldn't go hiking like I originally wanted to do, so we decided to just cruise on the parkway for a little bit and then head to Lauren and Dave's house.

Entrance to the parkway on the north end by Waynesboro...

Scenic overlook...

More scenic overlooks...

Beautiful rock wall...

Resting my foot on some ice...

The highest point we went to....over 3,000 feet... Teddy thought it was the perfect place to pee... hehehehe

Off the parkway on our way to I-81

Love the bridges in this part of the country...

George Washington National Forest.... very beautiful but narrow road...

Don't EVEN want to EVER go there!!!

We arrived in Davidson in time to go have some dinner at the Brick House.... really neat place.... Then we came home and helped Lauren decorate for Madison's birthday tomorrow.

Publio with Teddy and Tasha...

Publio and Dave did an excellent job getting the decorations up...

Soon after it was bed time!!!!

Happy travels!
