Last day!!!!

Tuesday, June 29:

Our last full day of our vacation.... it's been amazing.... Publio and I have had a wonderful time. We have met so many nice people from all different places. In our future travels we have friends to visit all over the place. AWESOME!

Today we wanted to spend the day relaxing on the beach AND that's exactly what we did with our friends.... Aaron, Rhonda, Janet, Alan, and their family.....

Monday, June 28:

Waking up to the sound of the ocean is AWESOME!!!!!

We decided to ride north on A1A and see what we could discover. It was a beautiful ride. We ended up at Fort Matanzas. WOW! More history to learn....

From here we headed to Mala Compra Plantation... loaded with more history of the early 19th century...

We headed back south towards the campground but decided to ride into the main part of town. We rode past a group of pelicans. I just love pelicans. They are one of the coolest birds I've ever seen. The way they fly so close to the water and the way they dive down to get food is just amazing.

We had lunch at Rocky's Pizza. Yummy pizza!!! We rode around the town and decided to stop at Finn's for a beer and the view....

They must like teachers around here.....

REALLY like teachers... LOL

Back at home, Publio worked while I sunbathed. We had dinner and headed out to the beach for a walk with Teddy.

Sunday, June 27:

Farewell Lauren! Farewell Dave! We're off to our next adventure (at 5am we drove out of their driveway, after getting a jump start from Dave). We did pretty good timing, so we were able to make it to Flagler Beach before 4pm.

We really like this RV park. We are parked right on the beach with awesome beach views from our window.

We hung out at the beach for a while and then headed out on the bike to explore the area...

Back at the campground, we made dinner and hung out with the neighbors... our new friends from Atlanta... They are heading to the races on Wednesday. They stay inside in the middle. How cool is that?!?!?!

And then off to bed!!!!

Saturday, June 26:

What a wonderful night's sleep!!!! My foot is doing so much better today. I was able to walk on it without limping as much.

As we were walking into the YMCA, Publio pointed out my motorcycle burn. It is NOT pretty....

Myles was very excited that we were going to see him play baseball. It was a good time... He did really good.

After the game, we headed over to Madison's birthday party at Rolly Pollies... The kids had a great time BUT so did Publio and Dave.... LOL!!!

Back at home, Dave and Publio made dinner, which was DELISH!!!! Then the boys decided to do some landscaping...

Blue Ridge Parkway

Friday, June 25:

On the road again....

We drove the first 30 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plans had changed due to my sprained ankle. I couldn't go hiking like I originally wanted to do, so we decided to just cruise on the parkway for a little bit and then head to Lauren and Dave's house.

We arrived in Davidson in time to go have some dinner at the Brick House.... really neat place.... Then we came home and helped Lauren decorate for Madison's birthday tomorrow.
